Danspace Project Presents: BURIDAN'S ASS

The half-hour prelude wraps up as the dancers gravitate in clumps, moving with a stylized nonchalance. The space is invaded at the edges with branches tied to the columns, leaning inwards at the top.

Danspace Project's PLATFORM 2011: Body Madness - Rhythm & Humor" Curator, David Parker greets the audience gathered at the altar of the St. Marks Church, mentioning the “wonderfully kinetic events” we just witnessed. He introduces the evening’s program as Bessie award-winning choreographer, Douglas Dunn , stands at his side, starring at him, cardboard wrapped in a triangle around his body, with opened egg cartons and pyramid-like appendages on the sides.
